Poker room · 5/5Where to Practise

Use play-money tables and trainers only. Real-money online poker is illegal in mainland China and age-restricted almost everywhere, and for interview prep the decisions matter, not the stakes.

Solver trainer
GTO Wizard

The leading solver-based trainer and the official WSOP training partner. Play hands against a GTO bot and see the EV you lost on each decision. Start here once you know the rules.

GTO trainer
Fearless River GTO Trainer

Formerly the WPT GTO Trainer. Play solved spots with instant feedback on EV loss per action; has a free tier.

Free play money
Replay Poker

Free play-money cash games and tournaments around the clock. Good for practising reads against humans.

Courses
Upswing Poker

Rated the most complete structured curriculum. Free articles cover preflop charts and basics well.

Video library
Run It Once

Phil Galfond's site with the deepest library of elite players thinking aloud through hands.

Trading card game
Figgie by Jane Street

Invented at Jane Street to simulate open-outcry trading. You deduce a hidden goal suit while trading cards. Closer to a trading desk than poker is. Also on iOS and Android.

Market games
Tradermath Market Games

The eight games from Part II, timed and scored. Easy mode is free with no login.

Code a bot
MIT Pokerbots

Annual competition where you program a poker bot; past course materials teach game theory through code. Pairs well with your Python projects.
